Christmas Tree and Star Puff's
These bite size puff pastries are too delicious for some finger foods while having guests over. I served them at my Christmas tea, they are light and perfect for a starter.
Christmas Tree and Star Puff Pastry's
Ingredients
2x rolls of Puff
Pastry - Store bought
Fig and pecan nut cream cheese 125g
Basil Pesto
Bacon bits - one packet
Rosa Tomato's
Feta Cheese
Red onions
Method
1.You will need to buy some cookie cutters so you can get the christmas tree and star shape cut out of the pastry.
2. Use the christmas cutter for one sheet of pastry and the star shapped cutter for the other sheet of pastry.
3. Place the cut out shapes on a baking tray. You can spread over some butter onto the tray so the pastries don't stick to the tray.
4. Place into the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes
5. While they are in the oven, you can fry up the bacon bits until crispy
6. Finally slice the red onion and place in a pan on a medium heat, cook until they are caramalised. I like to add a teaspoon of brown sugar.
7. Now its time to assemble the puff pastry's
8. Divide the stars and Christmas trees into three groups
10. Place the cream cheese and bacon pits on a third
11. Spread the basil pesto, caramalised onions and sprinkle over some feta cheese on the next third.
12. Finaly on the remaining, spread some basil pesto, a slice of mozzarella and two slices of rosa tomato's.
