Inspiration behind C'est la vie

C'est la vie is a food blog featuring my favourite recipes and recipes of Rugby players wives that I have had the opportunity of meeting in around Montpellier in the South of France and now the UK.

Living in Montpellier for two years has truly changed the way I think about food and has inspired me to create this blog. The move has allowed me to truly understand and embrace the french culture and in particular observe and enjoy the way they prepare and cook their food. Living overseas has seen my love and desire for cooking and travel grow and created the perfect opportunity for me to start C'est la vie. The whole idea of this is to create and show followers how to cook easy, simple and delicious dishes. I have incorporated as an additional feature to my blog "Rugby Wives Abroad" in order to showcase the wives and friends that I have met in the South of France with their own recipes.

We have now taken on a new journey in life with my husbands rugby career and moved to a small village outside of Leicester Called Market Harborough, so look forward to some new English style recipes and meeting new Rugby Wives abroud in the UK.

Megan Cilliers

I moved to Montpellier a two years ago from South Africa and have been blown away by the amazing french cuisine. I am a very out going passionate person who loves new adventures and challenges in life. Cooking and baking has become a real big part of my life and is now something I'm extremely passionate about. I love entertaining family and friends, which provides me with inspiration for new recipes and ideas for C'est la vie. Having a prop for a husband, who is constantly hungry and enjoys all types of food, is a good excuse to cook something new. I have been very blessed with meeting such amazing ladies in France through my husbands rugby career and will cherish each relationship forever.

A big thank you goes out to Mariza Ebersohn, who helped me get this project on the ground. She like me has a great passion for food and is a great friend of mine, I have featured some of her very own recipes in the blog along with the other rugby wives.
